Newcastle Golf Practice Centre (NGPC), also known as Newcastle Golf Driving Range, is a comprehensive golf practice facility open to the public 7 days a week.
NGPC is centrally located just a 15-minute drive west from Newcastle CBD and is close to Shortland Waters Golf Club, Newcastle University and Newcastle Wetlands.
NGPC has a 280 metre long by 180 metre wide fairway and also offers a chipping area, bunker and synthetic putting green. It has floodlighting so our visitors can practice longer hours, especially during the winter months.
NGPC offers both grass and quality mat teeing areas, providing shelter over some mats for both rain and sun protection.
NGPC has a well-stocked Pro Shop and sells golf clubs, buggies, bags and accessories etc.
NGPC also hires golf clubs.
NGPC offers all aspects of golf club repair work at great prices and prompt service. we also do club fitting by appointment.
Coffee, tea, cold drinks and light snacks are available.
NGPC also offers a BBQ area and seating which is available for families, work groups etc.
NGPC Proprietor, Rick MacLean is leading, teaching professional, Certified PGA of Australia Professional (Advanced in Coaching), and is available for tuition by appointment.

Important Notice to New Customers.
Visiting Newcastle Golf Practice Centre for the first time can be a bit confusing now the new Bypass has been completed.
If travelling north on the Bypass, you need to take the Newcastle exit and follow the signs to Newcastle and onto Sandgate Road.
The entrance to the range is the first left turn. Stay on this road and continue through the front gates and under the new freeway for approx 500 metres to arrive at Newcastle Golf Practice Centre.
If you are travelling along Maitland Road, you need to turn into Wallsend Road at the intersection near Sandgate Cemetry.
Follow this road for approx 700 metres and the range entrance road is the first right turn you will come to.
